Directorate of Medical Education and Research celebrated Diamond jubilee celebration on 09.01.2026. Our college got 2nd place in North zone Medical Colleges for providing the Best Services and safety to patients. Departments of paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology got first place. On this occasion our college Respected Dean Sir, Vice Principal Madam and Medical superintendent Sir and Professors of paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology Madams received the awards and appreciation from Honourable Health Minister Sir, Respected Additional Chief Secratary to Health and Respected Director of DME Madam.

Government Medical College, Thiruvallur, appreciated by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) - National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (NIRT) in recognition of advanced research in Tuberculosis, in the Tuberculosis research dissemination meeting held on 24th September 2025

Dr. Anupama S., who was working as Senior Resident in the Department of Pediatrics, has authored a comprehensive book for MBBS and postgraduate pediatric students, published by Elsevier, an international publisher. The book was officially released by the Honorable Minister for Health and Family Welfare of Tamil Nadu by Thiru. Ma. Subramanian on Oct 21,2022.
